 Indoor: Finished third at the C-USA Championships with a season-best jump of 24-02.50…also placed third in the long jump at the Air Force meet. Outdoor: At the Texas Southern Relays he placed second in the long jump with a leap of 23-01.25…finished seventh at the Conference USA Championships with a jump of 23-07.50.

High School
 Won state championship in the long jump at Diboll High School…received all district honors in 21-3A… an all district football and basketball player in high school and was a member of the National Honors Society.
