2000-01-Cross Country: Earned All-Conference honors after finishing second at the C-USA Championships…Qualified for NCAA Championships with a ninth-place finish at the NCAA South Central Championships. - Indoor: Had a team-best 3,000-meter time of 8:38.48 to finish ninth at the Conference USA Championships…finished second in the 3,000 meters at the Hilton Memorial Invitational…registered a season-best time of 14:48.29 in the 5,000 meters to place fourth at the C-USA Championships - Outdoor: Ran a season-best time of 3:59.87 in the 1,500 meters to place 10th at the Tellez Invitational…posted a team-best 5,000-meter time of 15:20.14 in a ninth-place finish at the Texas Relays…placed fifth in the 10,000 meters at the C-USA Championships (31:46.15). 1999-00- Cross Country: Earned All-Conference honors after finishing eighth…finished 13th at the NCAA Central Regional Championships…finished second at the Southwest Texas State Invitational. Indoor: One of Houston’s top distance runners…finished third in the 5,000 meters at the Conference USA Championships…was eighth in the 3,000 meters at the Houston Indoor Invitational with a season-best time of 8:38.36…finished 14th in the 3,000 meters at the C-USA Championships. Outdoor: Had Houston’s second-best time in the 1,500 meters when he finished fifth at the Texas A&M Invitational in 3:56.02…finished fourth in the 3,000 meters at the Texas Quadrangular in a time of 8:40.68…also finished sixth in the 3,000 at the Texas Opener…best showing in the 5,000 meters was at LSU when he finished third with a time of 14:57.63.

One of the top distance runners in the Greater Houston area as a junior and senior...a member of the 1997 all-state team in cross country…two-time District 15-5A champion and regional runner-up in cross country...was 19th at the 1998 Texas High School state cross country championships...earned all-state honors after finishing third in the 3200 meters at the 1997 State Track and Field Championships after winning the 3200 meters at the Region II-5A championships...was second in the 1600 meters at the District 15-5A meet.
