Philadelphia, Pa. - The University of Houston men's track and field team qualified for the collegiate championships in the 4x100-meter relay after compiling a time of 41.04 seconds in the preliminaries Friday afternoon. The Cougars also had a time of 1:25.75 in the 4x200-meter relay and 3:18.21 in the preliminaries of the 4x400-meter relay.

Individually, Mike Olague finished 27th in the second heat of the men's 5,000 meter championship with a time of 14:52.72. Milton Manson was seventh in the third heat of the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.92 seconds.

Greg Christie and Jason Edwards will compete in the 400-meter hurdles and long jump, respectively on Saturday afternoon.
