    University of Houston senior high jumper Jeff Mueller recorded a third place finish at the Texas Relays in the high jump's Section B. Mueller finished the meet with a leap of 7 feet, 1/4 inch. Houston's Adam Callahan also finished sixth in the event with a jump of 6 feet, 9 inches.

    In the finals of the university men's 100-meter dash, Robert Foster finished seventh with a legal time of 10.42 seconds. Foster qualified for the finals with the fifth-fastest time in the prelimaries when he won the second heat with a wind-aided time of 10.21 seconds on Friday.

    In addtion, freshman Juan Cardenas recorded a seventh-place finish in the men's 1500 meters and Mike Olague finished ninth in the men's 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:20.14.

    Freshman Julie Perez was 13th in the women's 5,000-mter run with a time of 18:12.94 and Houston finished 15th in the women's distance medley relay with a time of 12:22.34.

    Houston will travel to Baton Rouge to compete in the LSU Alumni Gold Invitational on April 14.
