    Played in 115 contests with 70 starts from 1983-87 and played a major role in elevating the Houston women's basketball program... ranks 19th all-time with 1,102 career points... also ranks eighth all-time with 305 assists and 189 steals... had a breakout junior season where she averaged 10.8 points and 3.4 assists per contest while shooting 46 percent from the field... biggest moment of career came during junior season when Carter led the Cougars to the biggest upset in program history, posting a team-leading 16 points against No. 3 Louisiana Tech on Dec. 9, 1985... 12 of 16 points came in second half of 66-60 victory while also posting four assists and three steals in 40 minutes of action... victory helped propel the Cougars into the national rankings for the first time in program history... enjoyed a monster senior season, averaging 18.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.2 steals per game.
