Appeared in 20 games for the Lady Cougars averaging 5.6 minutes per contest while averaging 0.7 points per game . . . Played three minutes in Houston's win over Cincinnati in the C-USA Tournament and recorded one rebound and was 2-for-2 from the free-throw line . . . Scored a season-high five points and four rebounds while playing a season high 15 minutes against Alcorn State on Nov. 30
2002-03 (Freshman)
Steele made her debut as a Lady Cougar against Ball State, posting her first thrr-pointer, rebound, assist and blocked shot in only five minutes of play... dished out a career-high five assists in a Dec. 1 win over Sam Houston State... posted a career-high three steals aaginst Florida on Dec. 6
High School
Averaged 21.0 points and 10 assists per game her senior season . . . Was made an All-State and All-City honorable mention following her senior year, as well as MVP of the team . . . Was named an All-City and All-State selection both her junior and sophomore campaigns . . . Earned the MVP of the Doug Bruno camp two years in a row . . . Named one of the best freshmen in the State of Michigan following her freshman year.
