After a standout junior season, named Conference USA Player of the Year... Earned First Team All-Conference USA and C-USA All-Defensive team honors for the second straight year... Averaged a double-double for the season at 15.1 points and 10 rebounds per game... Led the Cougars with 59 steals while also contributing 45 assists and 33 blocks... Also paced the team in field goal percentage at .497 (177-of-356)... Shot .326 from beyond the 3-point arc (15-of-46) and .618 from the free throw line (84-of-136)... Her season total of 301 rebounds ranks third in UH history for a single season, as did her 10.0 rebound per game average... Enjoyed a break-out season as a sophomore starting all 29 games for UH and garnering First Team All-Conference USA and C-USA All-Defensive Team honors... Led the Cougars while also finishing third in C-USA in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 16.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per contest... Twice selected C-USA Player of the Week... Ranked thing in C-USA and first on the Cougars with 16 double-doubles... Also finished third in the league with a team-best 2.28 steals per game, swiping 66... Posted the highest shooting percentage on the team at .467 (177-of-379), including a .417 (10-of-24) percentage from three point range... Limited early in the season due to a groin injury, but bounced back to play in 29 contests with 25 appearances in the starting line-up... Emerged as the team's leading rebounder with an average of 8.6 per contest... Her rebounding stats ranked her fifth in Conference USA and 65th nationally... Finished as UH's third leading scorer with 10.1 points per contest, reaching double-digit scoring figures 18 times on the year... Selected to the C-USA All-Freshman team... Led the Cougars with nine double-doubles... Pulled down eight rebounds in her collegiate debut against Texas Southern (11/9/07)... In the team's final action of the season, Taylor produced her best statistical game of the year with 11 rebounds and a season-high 21 points (9-of-12 shooting) in the C-USA Championship Quarterfinals against Southern Miss.
