LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (Ticker) -- Monique Bribiescas scored 18 points to lead New Mexico State to its first win over a top 25 team, a 68-63 victory over No. 22 Houston.

Bribiescas hit four free throws down the stretch and added for assists for New Mexico State. Trecha Kennedy scored 11 points and Jenean Ford had six points and 12 rebounds for the Aggies.

Houston (9-3) led 29-25 at the half but cold shooting finally caught up to the Lady Cougars. Houston shot 36 percent (22-for-61) and made only 11-of-19 free throws.

Sancho Lyttle scored 25 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for Houston and Jasmin Moore added 15 off the bench.

New Mexico State (5-7) outscored Houston 43-34 in the second half on the strength of 59 percent (16-for-27) shooting.
