Behind 26 points from All American Chandi Jones the University of Houston women's basketball team improved to 12-2 and 2-0 in Conference USA play with a 70-55 win over the Saint Louis Billikens at the Bauman-Eberhardt Center in St. Louis Mo.

The Lady Cougars opened the ball game on a 10-0 run and never looked back as they were able to maintain a double-digit lead for the majority of the game. Houston continued its winning streak to seven games with the win.

Jones scored 15 of her game high 26 points in the second half while connecting on seven of seven free throws to lead the Lady Cougars. Joann Overstreet added 14 points and Sancho Lyttle recorded her second double double of C-USA play with 11 points and a game high 14 rebounds.

The Lady Cougars will be in action again Wednesday night when they take on Wichita State in Wichita Kan, at 7 p.m.
