Women's Basketball remains undefeated in C-USA play with win over Cincinnati, 63-56

The Lady Cougars defeated the Cincinnati Bearcats by a score of 63-56 to improve to 14-3 ( 5-0 C-USA) on the season.
In the first half of play, the Lady Cougars were 13-15, 86% from the foul line. Which is one of the best the Lady Cougars have seen this season.
Joann Overstreet lead the team into the second half with 12 points and five rebounds. She was 4-7 shooting. Sancho Lytlle had 10 points and three rounds. She was 3-4 from the field and 4-5 from the foul line.
Despite Cincinnati's Karen Twehues's four three-pointers in the first half, the Lady Cougar defense shut her down the second half. She went 4-15 from the three point line.
Houston's Sancho Lyttle went down with a high ankle sprain with about seven minutes left to play in the first half. Despite the coaches suggustion, she demanded to get back into the game and managed to get her 14th double double of the season with 21 points and 11 boards in 34 minutes of play, leading the Lady Cougars. She also had two assists and three steals.
The Lady Cougars had a 7-0 run to start the second half. The Lady Bearcats defense was weak against Joann Overstreet's quickeness. Overstreet finished with 18 points and seven rebounds.
Other notables for the Lady Cougars were Kiki Harris, who had 11 points and seven rebounds, and Crystal Simpson who had seven points, two assists, one steal and three rebounds.
The Lady Cougars head to Louisville on Sunday for another conference showdown on ESPN 2 at 3 pm CST. Louisville knocked TCU off leaving the Lady Cougars the only undeafted team in C-USA.
