    HOUSTON - The University of Houston's Nicole Oliver scored just two points Friday night against the Cincinnati Bearcats, but the two points helped seal a 60-56 win for the No. 22 Lady Cougars who extended their winning streak to 10 with the win.

    Oliver, who led Houston with five steals, picked up her fifth steal with four seconds to play when she stepped in front of a pass intended to Valerie King who then fouled Oliver.Holding on to a two point lead, Oliver sank the two free shots to put Houston up four and seal the win.

    Houston (15-2, 4-0) used their defense all night to create opportunities, picking up 14 steals and scoring eight fast break points. The Lady Cougars domination in the post was also key for the win as Houston out scored the Bearcats 32-12 in the paint.

    Sancho Lyttle sank nine of her 11 shots from the floor for 19 points and All American Chandi Jones finished with a game high 23 points for the Lady Cougars. Point guard Joann Overstreet finished with seven points and grabbed a game high seven rebounds.

    Despite the Lady Cougars scoring the bulk of their points close to the bucket, the Bearcats kept in the game with hot shooting from behind the three point line. Cincinnati knocked down 11 of 21 long balls while Houston was just 2-12

    Cincinnati was led by Karen Tweshues' 20 points which came on 6-9 shooting from behind the three point line. Treasure Humphries added 13 points while Debbie Merrill added 11 points.

    Houston will be in action again Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m. when they play the Louisville Cardinals at Hofheinz Pavilion.
