    HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Houston women's basketball team hit the court for the first time against live competition Wednesday night as they beat the Everyones Internet All Stars 60-49 at Hofheinz Pavilion.

    All American Chandi Jones led all scorers in the game with 20 points, shooting 10-11 from the free throw line in 34 minutes. Junior Sancho Lyttle dominated the boards with 22 rebounds and 19 points in 34 minutes in her first action as a Cougar.

    The Lady Cougars jumped out early on EV-1 and held on to an 11-point lead at the half. In the second half the All Stars climbed to within four points at 53-49 with 1:55 to play, but Houston was able to pull away by hitting five of their six free throws don the stretch.

    The Lady Cougars will be in action again Sunday afternoon, as they take on the Houston Jaguars at 2 p.m. at Hofheinz Pavilion in their second and final exhibition before the regular season tips off against Gonzaga.
