HOUSTON - Following a thrilling, come-from-behind victory over SMU Friday that put the team right back into the thick of the race for the Conference USA Championship, the University of Houston women's basketball team is back in action at Hofheinz Pavilion Sunday, hosting Tulsa at 2 p.m. during the team's home finale.

The Cougars (17-8) are currently 9-4 in league play, placing them in a four-way tie for second place in the C-USA standings, trialing only Southern Miss (10-3 C-USA) which was in action late Saturday. Tulsa enters the weekend with a 6-19 overall record and a 2-11 conference mark.

Prior to Sunday's game, the Cougars will honor senior Zane Jakobsone, who will be playing in her final home game.

The game could also be a historic one for head coach Joe Curl, who enters the game trailing former UH coach Dot Woodin by just one victory for the most coaching wins in program history.

All UH Women's basketball games can be heard on the official website for UH athletics - UHCougars.com with Jeremy Branham calling the play-by-play action and Louis Ray providing the color commentary.
