    Has very high basketball IQ... another player with great length and athleticism to utilize in the frontcourt... very versatile player that can play at the three and four positions... good rebounder that can also shoot the three and bring the ball up the court... also a great defender that can guard the perimeter as well as guard the post.

    RUDDER HIGH SCHOOL
    Rated a three-star recruit by ESPN HoopGurlz... ranked as the No. 82 forward nationally by ESPN HoopGurlz... listed as the No. 37 overall prospect in the state of Texas by Premier Basketball Report... led the team with 16.4 points to go with 4.6 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game as Rudder posted a 34-6 overall record and advanced to the regional semifinals during senior season... named the District 16-4A Offensive Player of the Year while also earning Academic All-District honors as a senior... helped lead Rudder High to a 30-7 record as a sophomore, averaging 11.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.7 blocks per game... scored in double figures in 21 contests and shot 55 percent from the field during the 2009-10 campaign... chose Houston over Memphis, North Texas, Rice and Tulane.





    "Te'onna makes us a much more athletic team. Defensively, she has the skill set to guard inside-out, positions one through four, which says a lot about her versatility.     Extremely athletic and versatile... can guard any position on the floor... slasher-scorer that can create mismatches... has the strength and skill set to post up against smaller opponents while drawing bigger players out and driving past them.

    NEW MEXICO JUNIOR COLLEGE
    Earned NJCAA Second-Team All-America honors and was named the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) Player of the Year last season after leading NMJC to a 26-4 overall record and its first trip to the NJCAA National Tournament... averaged 11.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 0.8 blocks per game as a sophomore... led the team as a freshman with 15.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.2 steals per contest en route to WJCAC First-Team honors... shot 44 percent (202-of-464) from the field in her two seasons with the Thunderbirds... chose Houston over New Mexico and UTEP.





    "Taylor has tremendous upside. Her best basketball is in front of her. Unfortunately, she tore her ACL in practice prior to the season.     Rated a three-star recruit by ESPN HoopGurlz... ranked as the No. 43 forward nationally by ESPN HoopGurlz... tabbed the No. 30 overall prospect in the state of Texas by Premier Basketball Report... earned District 23-5A Second Team honors as a sophomore and junior... helped lead Hightower High to a 34-5 overall record during the 2010-11 season... averaged 7.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game... scored in double figures in 12 contests... shot nearly 50 percent from the field... chose Houston over TCU, Arizona, Georgetown, Georgia Tech and New Mexico.

    Rated a three-star recruit by ESPN HoopGurlz... ranked as the No. 31 post player nationally by ESPN HoopGurlz... tabbed the No. 29 overall prospect in the state of Texas by Premier Basketball Report... earned District 23-5A Most Valuable Player honors as a senior after averaging 16.7 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game... sank 253 field goals at a 54-percent clip during senior campaign that saw Hightower High post 32-8 overall record... named District 23-5A Defensive Player of the Year and a first team selection as a junior... averaged 9.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game in helping lead Hightower High to a 34-5 record... posted 18 double-digit scoring and 18 double-digit rebounding games during the 2010-11 season and shot nearly 50 percent from the field... chose Houston over TCU, Arizona, Georgetown, Georgia Tech and New Mexico.

    HIGH SCHOOL
    Named high school's Top Athlete as a sophomore and junior... voted the Top Forward at the 2009 National High School Championship... served as captain of both high school and U18 squads the past two seasons... tallied 36 of team's 56 points in losing effort in the Ankara title game.





    "Jess is the whole package; the real deal. She's deceiving in how she's a true 6'0-6'1, but can play any one of four positions on the floor. Her skill set is endless. She brings such great leadership skills with her. She relishes that, which is very special. A lot of kids talk about it and want that, but she delivers. Without question, she comes into our program and becomes an instant impact player. The biggest compliment I can give her is that there isn't another player I want to have the ball with the game on the line than Jess Palmer."


    ABOUT JESSIEKA PALMER
    A big-time talent... very versatile player that could play positions one through four... can shoot the deep three or play point with great ball skills and vision... beyond her years in seeing the floor and the ability to make decisions... great leader on the court.

    La MARQUE HIGH SCHOOL
    Rated a four-star recruit by ESPN HoopGurlz... tabbed the No. 9 point guard and the No. 61 overall prospect nationally by ESPN HoopGurlz... listed as the No. 14 prospect overall in the state of Texas and No. 44 overall nationally by Premier Basketball Report... named Galveston Daily News' Most Valuable Player after averaging 19.7 points, 3.9 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game as a senior... scored 40 points in a victory over Friendswood High in 2012... named the District 24-4A Offensive Player of the Year in 2009 and a first team selection in 2010... averaged 16.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game during the 2010-11 season... scored in double figures in 22 contests with three double-doubles... chose Houston over UT-Arlington, UTEP, Southern Miss and North Texas.





    "Alecia could be the heart and soul of our basketball team being the point guard. She's had an incredible high school career. I know her goal is to go out a state champion, and we certainly wish her the best. She's going to be my coaching extension out on the floor. You watch Alecia play, and a lot of times I think her and Porsche are very similar. She just has a different gear where she can go by you. She has the knack of making everyone around her better. She has the confidence and swagger that I look for. I think it's almost a must to have that as a point guard."


    ABOUT ALECIA SMITH
    Very quick on the floor... has great vision and is a good ball handler with great passing skills... has nice mid-range game, as well as behind the 3-point line.

    CEDAR HILL HIGH SCHOOL
    Rated a four-star recruit by Premier Basketball Report... tabbed as the No. 15 overall prospect in the state of Texas by Premier Basketball Report... named District 5-5A Co-Offensive Player of the Year in 2010-11 after averaging 13.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game... helped lead Cedar Hill High to a 20-12 record... named to VYPE Magazine's "DFW Fab 50 Players to Watch" entering senior season... chose Houston over New Mexico and North Texas.





    "YT brings much-needed size and athleticism as well as physicality and toughness to the post position. She can play either four or five and gives up options defensively as she's able to go out and guard the perimeter. She also brings more experience to the squad having played in JUCO, where you grow up fast."


    ABOUT YASMEEN THOMPSON
    Brings more size and athleticism to the post... can play the four and five positions... strong rebound capabilities... can guard on the perimeter, giving the defense flexibility... will bring toughness and physically to the post.

    PARIS JUNIOR COLLEGE
    Earned NJCAA All-Conference Honorable Mention honors last season after averaging 8.1 points and a team-leading 9.0 rebounds per game... helped lead Paris JC to a 24-7 record while reaching a national ranking of No. 11, setting a school record... shot 44 percent (80-of-183) from the field and 61 percent (75-of-124) from the free-throw line... tallied 10 points and 18 boards against Kilgore JC.





    "Both of her parents are alumni here, which is special for us to tap into the UH family. Her dad was a phenomenal player here. Bianca just plays so hard. Her skill set certainly meets our style of play. She's long and very athletic and makes good decisions with the basketball. She's going to come in and work extremely hard. She has to get stronger and she'll reap the benefits of that."


    ABOUT BIANCA WINSLOW

    BELLAIRE HIGH SCHOOL
    Rated a three-star recruit by ESPN HoopGurlz... ranked as the No. 120 guard nationally by ESPN HoopGurlz... two-time District 20-5A First Team selection... helped lead Bellaire High to a 20-9 record last season by averaging 10.4 points, 3.5 steals, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
