RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - The University of Houston Women's Golf team wrapped up First Round play of the SDSU Farms Invitational on Monday afternoon.
Sophomore Raegan Bremer stood in 64th place after posting an 80, while junior Courtney Ferguson was tied for 85th with an 86. Despite the tough start, Bremer show promising signs for the rest of the tournament with birdies on two of her final four holes.
Tuesday's Second Round will start off Nos. 1 and 10 at 10 a.m. (CDT) with Wednesday's Final Round starting at 9:30 a.m. (CDT) off Nos. 1 and 10. Fans can follow live scoring by visiting BirdieFire.com and following the appropriate links or by clicking here.
With only two student-athletes competing, the Cougars will not be eligible for the team title on the 6,237-yard, par-72 course at The Farms Golf Club.
UCLA held the team lead with a score of 285 to stand five strokes in front of Stanford. San Diego State (292), Arizona State (295) and USC (298) rounded out the top-five team leaders.
Individually, Alison Lee (UCLA), Emma Henrikson (San Diego State) and Kailey Walsh (Miami, Fla.) held the first-day lead after shooting 68s. Erynne Lee (UCLA) and Lauren Kim (Stanford) were tied for fourth with 69s.

Following the San Diego State Farms Invitational, the Cougars return home to play locally at the HBU Husky Invitational on March 31-April 1 at Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas.
From there, the team will close out its regular-season schedule at the SMU Invitational on April 4-6 in Dallas.
