Women's Golf Set to Compete at SDSU Farms Invitational

SAN DIEGO - The University of Houston Women's Golf team returns to action Monday morning when it competes at the San Diego State Farms Invitational.
The three-day, 54-hole event tees off with 18 holes each day. Monday's and Tuesday's rounds will start off Nos. 1 and 10 at 10 a.m. (CDT) with Wednesday's Final Round starting at 9:30 a.m. (CDT) off Nos. 1 and 10. With only two student-athletes competing, the Cougars will not be eligible for the team title on the 6,211-yard, par-72 course at The Farms Golf Club. Houston will face host San Diego State, Arizona State, California, Cal State Fullerton, Idaho, Miami (Fla.), Oklahoma State, Oregon, Portland State, Stanford, Texas, UC Irvine, UCLA, UNLV, New Mexico, USC and Xavier.
Sophomore Raegan Bremer and junior Courtney Ferguson will compete as individuals in the starting lineup for head coach Gerrod Chadwell and assistant coach Mary Michael Maggio.
Ferguson led the Cougars at the SunTrust Gator Invitational on March 14-16 in the team's most recent outing. The Clear Lake, Texas, native has posted a 75.17 scoring average this season and tied for 10th at the spring-season-opening Central District Invitational on Feb. 17-18.
Bremer leads the Cougars with a 74.28 scoring average and six rounds of par or better this season. The Anaheim, Calif., native tied for sixth at the Cardinal Cup during the fall campaign.

Following the San Diego State Farms Invitational, the Cougars return home to play locally at the HBU Husky Invitational on March 31-April 1 at Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas.
From there, the team will close out its regular-season schedule at the SMU Invitational on April 4-6 in Dallas
