    THE LINEUP
Junior Courtney Ferguson, sophomore Raegan Bremer and freshman Emily Gilbreth will compete at the Dallas Athletic Club /SMU Invitational for head coach Gerrod Chadwell and assistant coach Mary Michael Maggio.

Bremer made Houston history in her last event, winning the HBU Husky Invitational individual title on Tuesday at Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas. The Anaheim, Calif., native was the only player to break par in the Final Round with a 2-under-par 70 on the way to a 3-stroke victory.

It was her first career title and the first championship of any kind in Houston Women's Golf history. For her impressive performance, she was honored as the American Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week on Wednesday, another first in her career.

This season, Bremer leads the Cougars with a 74.79 scoring average and seven rounds of par or better.

Freshman Emily Gilbreth made her spring-season debut at the HBU Husky Invitational earlier this week. The Bellaire, Texas, native earned her second straight top-20 showing, tying for 17th with a score of 235. Closed out the fall campaign with a 12th-place showing at the Sam Houston State/Harold Funston Invitational on Oct. 7-8.

Junior Courtney Ferguson stands second among the Cougars with four rounds of par or better this season and tied for 10th at the spring-season-opening Central District Invitational on Feb. 17-18. The Clear Lake, Texas, native tied for 29th at the HBU Husky Invitational earlier this week.

All three Cougars will tee off No. 1 Friday with Ferguson starting her day at 9:39 a.m., and Bremer (9:48 a.m.) and Gilbreth (9:57 a.m.) following.
