HOUSTON - Freshmen Kailey Collier and Courtney Tibiletti have joined the University of Houston Women's Golf program, Head Coach Gerrod Chadwell announced Wednesday.

"Kailey and Courtney are great additions to the program. In the recruitment of these two women, their golf speaks for itself with a steady improvement from early years all the way through their high school graduations," Chadwell said. "The thing that impressed me most with these two were the values that they stand for and their work ethic. Those traits will fit right in with our culture, and I look forward to being a part of their continued progress on and off the course."

Tibiletti joins the Cougars out of Huntsville High. As a student-athlete for head coach Marcus Evans, she was named to the All-State Team in three of her four prep seasons and was named to the Houston Chronicle's All-Greater Houston Team as a senior in 2013-14.

At the 2014 State Championships, she finished as runner-up with a score of 148 and led the Hornets to the team title by 10 strokes. She earned medalist honors at the District 18-4A Championships with a score of 148, including a school-record-tying 71 in the final round.

Tibiletti finished fifth at the 2013 State Championships as a junior and was honored as the 2011 Huntsville Area Female Athlete of the Year as a freshman.

Collier was a four-time state tournament qualifier and four-time All-Conference selection as a prep star at Broken Arrow, Okla. As a senior during the 2013-14 campaign, Collier led the Lady Tigers to their first Class 6A Regional Championship and was named to the Tulsa Area All-VYPE Team.

As a junior, she was a member of four team tournament champions and finished among the top-five leaders at the Red River Challenge.

An award-winning student-athlete, she graduated in the top 10 percent of her class and was a member of the Academic All-State Team as a senior.
