DALLAS – The University of Houston Women’s Golf program competes in its third tournament in the month of October when it tees off Monday morning at the Trinity Forest Invitational.

The Cougars, who stand at No. 27 in the latest Golfstat national rankings, compete in 36 holes with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start Monday with the final 18 holes teeing off at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday on the 6,372-yard course at Trinity Forest Golf Club.

Head Coach Gerrod Chadwell, now in his fourth season at Houston, recently released the Cougars’ starting lineup for the Trinity Forest Invitational.

Houston will be represented by junior Leonie Harm, senior Megan Thothong, junior Allie Andersen, senior Courtney Tibiletti and junior Maddy Rayner.

Making her season debut, sophomore Amanda Elich will compete as an individual.

All 13 teams in the Trinity Forest Invitational are ranked among the top-80 in the latest Golfstat rankings. The Cougars, who stand at No. 27 in the latest poll, will compete against No. 11 Colorado, No. 22 UNLV, No. 29 Texas Tech, No. 30 Tennessee, No. 39 Texas A&M, No. 42 UTSA, No. 45 BYU, Campbell, Missouri, Kansas State and Chattanooga.
In their last tournament, the Cougars finished sixth at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas, on Oct. 22-24.

Thothong and Harm tied for the team lead at 1-under 215 to tie for 12th, while Tibiletti joined them among the top-25 leaders at 220- to tie for 21st.

Following the Baylor Invitational, the Cougars wrap up their fall season at the Baylor Invitational, hosted at Club Campestre San Jose in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico on Nov. 3-5.

From there, the Cougars open their spring season at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship on Feb. 18-20, 2018, at English Turn Country Club in New Orleans.
