HOUSTON - The University of Houston soccer team played Sam Houston State to a 2-2 draw in their second and final exhibition match Sunday night at Carl Lewis Field.

Houston got goals from freshmen Hannah Dauzat (39th minute) and Selena Peters (66th minute) to keep pace in an intense friendly with the Bearkats, while the defense allowed just three shots on goal.

Dauzat registered her equalizer on a through-ball from Alexis Weaver that rolled through the Sam Houston keeper and kept enough pace to find the back of the net.

Sam Houston reclaimed the lead midway through the second half, but Selena Peters tied the game up for good on a big mistake by the Bearkat keeper.

Peter's scored on an indirect free kick after the keeper picked up a ball that was kicked back by her own defender. Senior Kayla Walker alertly placed the ball and passed it to Peters who tied the game at two.
