Houston Soccer Adds Two Division I Transfers this Spring

Head Coach Chris Pfau

Jan. 13, 2014

HOUSTON — University of Houston Soccer and head coach Chris Pfau have announced the addition of two Division I transfers as Hailey Kirkwood (Akron) and Jordan Brown (Tennessee Tech) are set to join the Cougars this spring.

Kirkwood hails from Las Vegas, Nev. and played previously at the University of Akron as a defender, while Brown hails from League City, Texas and Clear Springs High School outside of Houston, where she played previously at Tennessee Tech as a goalkeeper.

“I am very excited about adding Jordan Brown and Hailey Kirkwood to the Houston Soccer program,” said head coach Chris Pfau. “Both players will add not only experience, but bring a leadership quality with them. Both players are at Houston to help build a great program.

“Jordan brings great experience at a high level being brought into National Camp during her freshman year at Tennessee Tech. She is someone that can come in right away and build on what goalkeepers Cami Koski and Sydney George left behind as record-setting keepers in this program.

Hailey Kirkwood is a great defender that played for me at Akron. She stepped in right away as a freshman at outside back and was great defender. She has the ability to go forward and create havoc with other teams and with that type of talent, I expect her to do the same here at Houston.”
