"Suzie has been very valuable to the growth of our soccer program over the past year,” Pfau said. “Her head coaching experience has allowed her to come in and make an immediate impact on and off the field. I am very excited to name her as an associate head coach this season as we head into a new conference.”
Elevated to associate head coach, Grech served as an assistant for the Cougars during the 2012 season after being hired June 25, 2012.
“It is an honor to work for the University of Houston and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my career alongside the incredible staff, student-athletes, and administration as the associate head coach,” Grech said.
“Houston is a special place with great people and I am excited about the direction in which head coach Chris Pfau is leading this program as we enter the American Athletic Conference,” Grech said. “I consider myself very fortunate to work for a head coach of his caliber. I would like to thank Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Mack Rhoades, Senior Woman Administrator DeJuena Chizer, and coach Pfau for entrusting me with this position."
