Houston Set to Face UTSA in Exhibition

HOUSTON -- The Houston Soccer team gears up for its 2017 season when it heads down to San Antonio for an exhibition match at UTSA. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start at the Park West Athletics Complex.

Houston returns 21 members of the 2016 squad as well as 10 additions. The match will mark the eighth meeting between the two programs and the first under Head Coach Diego Bocanegra.

The Cougars will begin its 2017 campaign at home inside the Carl Lewis International Complex when they host Texas Southern Aug. 18, followed by a matchup with Northern Arizona on Aug. 20. Houston will play eight matches at home this season, as well as three matches against teams that made the 2016 NCAA Tournament field.
