Rhodes Signs to Play for Houston Aces

HOUSTON (August 25) -- The University of Houston women's soccer team (0-1, 0-0 C-USA) dropped their season opener Friday night losing to TCU 0-1 in Robertson Stadium.

The Horned Frogs scored the lone goal at the 16:59 mark half when TCU forward, Sherry Dick, scored on an assist from Crystal Pratz and slid it past Houston goalkeeper, Robin Cate (Houston, Texas).

"The difference between the two teams was heart," said head coach Bill Solberg. In the first half, we didn't play with as much heart as TCU did. Now we will have to work on the little things like winning 50-50 balls, sliding for goals and kicking the ball under the bar."

The Lady Cougars wrap up opening weekend in Robertson Stadium with a match against SMU on Sunday, August 27 at 1:00 p.m.
