HOUSTON -- University of Houston Soccer returns to the city of Houston and will travel across town on Sunday to take on Houston Baptist in a 7 p.m., non-conference match.
The Cougars will enter Sunday's game with a 1-2-2 record, while Houston Baptist is 1-4-0 and is coming off a 1-0 win over Utah Valley in Missoula, Montana this past Friday.
"We are very excited to get going again after a weekend in California." said head coach Chris Pfau. "We are looking to build on what we have done the last three games and need to really focus on the final third."
LAST TIME OUT
Houston finished in a 0-0 double-overtime draw at San Diego State this past Sunday after falling 2-1 in overtime on Friday evening at Cal State Northridge. Senior goalkeeper Cami Koski stole the show for the Cougars recording a school record for saves in a game with 17, surpassing the previous record of 15, which last came by Shelby Scott vs. Texas in 2007.
The Cougars enter play having gone to overtime in their last three games. Junior forward Kayla Walker leads the team in goals with two with her latest coming in the second half against Cal State Northridge. Senior Jasmine Martinez has tallied a team-leading two assists, while Koski leads the team with two shutouts and 40 saves in goal
HBU will host Houston with a 1-4-0 record. The Huskies earned their first victory of the season with a win on the road at Utah Valley this past Friday. Sophomore midfielder Rebekah Tovar leads the team with two goals, while junior midfielder Taylor Gibson leads the team with one assist. Junior goalkeeper Stephanie Castellon has recorded one win in goal.
HOUSTON VS HBU HISTORY
Houston and Houston Baptist will meet for the fifth time in program history with the Cougars owning the all-time series at 3-1. The series history began in 2007 and the last meeting between the two schools came a year ago at Robertson Stadium with the Huskies earning a 2-0 win over Houston.
2013 SEASON TICKETS
A season ticket package is available for $50 and is good for all remaining five home matches. The tickets are also part of a flexible ticket package that is good for any game. With the flexible ticket package, fans are given the opportunity to either use one ticket for each home game or multiple tickets to a few games.

Houston will host Louisiana-Lafayette at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20 at the Carl Lewis Complex for Senior Day. All 11 seniors will be recognized prior to kickoff.
