Houston, Texas - The University of Houston women's soccer team defeated Conference USA rival UAB by a score of 2-1 Friday night in Robertson Stadium. The Blazers drop to 3-12-2 overall and 2-7-1 in conference.

Sophomore Ashley Fortenberry scored the Cougars' first goal of the night at the 10:40 mark of the first half. Fortenberry then assisted on the next UH goal passing to junior Kara Bullinger who connected on a header at 14:33 to make the score 2-0.
