Soccer Faces Colorado College in Opening Round of the Conference USA Championship

EL PASO, Texas - The University of Houston soccer team will face off with Colorado College in the opening round of the Conference USA Championship. The match-up will take place at noon, Wednesday, on UTEP's University Field.
The Cougars clinched the eighth and final spot in the Championship after Marshall suffered a 1-0 loss at East Carolina on Thursday. This is head coach Chris Pfau's fourth consecutive trip to the postseason but first at Houston.
Houston finished the regular season 7-8-3 overall and 3-4-3 in conference play. This is the first time the Cougars have made the postseason since the 2010 season.
COLORADO COLLEGE
In the regular season, the Tigers defeated the Cougars 3-1. Senior forward Brittany Lyman knocked in the game-winning goal unassisted in the 81st minute.
Colorado College holds a 6-1 all-time record over Houston. This match will be the first time these two teams have faced one another in the postseason.
