ST. LOUIS -- Three members of the University of Houston women's soccer team (9-8-1 record overall) have earned All-Conference USA accolades the league office announced Tuesday, October 31, on the eve of the C-USA Championship Tournament to be held in St. Louis, MO.

Cougar junior midfielder Kara Bullinger and true freshman forward Nicole Aubuchon were named third team all-Conference USA. Aubuchon and Emily Allwardt were also named to the 2000 C-USA all-freshman team. Bullinger, a standout from nearby Kingwood High School, scored four goals and co-led the Cougars in assists. She was also third in shots on goal as a starter in 17 matches.

Aubuchon set a new UH record for goals scored (12) in her freshman season. The native of Eureka, Missouri, converted on 46.2 percent of her shots on goal as a starter in all 18 matches. Allwardt, a defender from Germantown, Wisconsin, earned all-freshman honors for a Cougar team that held the opposition to a 2.1 goals-against average.

Houston is the No. 6 seed of the C-USA Tournament, which begins in St. Louis on Wednesday, November 1. The Cougars meet No. 3 seed Cincinnati at 5:00 p.m. at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
