This Season: Senior brings experience behind the plate... strong offensively and adds pop to the Cougar lineup... enters the season among the Cougars' all-time leaders in every offensive category, and leads in both home runs (18) and RBI (74)... asked to step up to another level this season by the coaches... expected to be an All Conference Player again this year.

2003: First Team Conference USA...started all 60 games for the Cougars... Among the leaders in 13 different offensive categories... led Cougars in at bats (178) and runs batted in (49)... second in batting average (.337), runs scored (34), total bases (107), slugging percentage (.601), hits (60), home runs (11) and stolen bases (5)... went 2-for-3 with a home run against Pittsburgh... has most productive offensive game of the season against Texas Southern, going 3-for-5 with two home runs and seven runs batted in... went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored against South Florida...had 13 put outs against Jackson State... 17 runners caught stealing in 2003...300 put outs.

2002: The Cougars' cleanup hitter... batted .305 for the season, slugging .559... batted .500 or better in 16 games... stole six bases in seven attempts during the season... went 3-for-3 against No.17 Southwest Texas State, hitting her first homerun of the year... belted 12 homeruns setting the new Cougar record for career (18) and season home run record... led C-USA in homeruns (12) and runs batted in (50)... went 2-for-3 against Stephen F. Austin during the Houston Invitational... hit two homeruns in the second series game against C-USA opponent Charlotte... went 3-for-3 against Texas Southern with a home run and a double...went 5-for-7 in double header against Stephen F. Austin... voted preseason All-Conference.

2001: Had the second-highest batting average with .317... hit six homeruns during the season, one less than the team leader... led the team in extra-base hits... knocked in 24 RBI during the year, second on the team... led the team with a .504 slugging percentage... second on the team with an on-base percentage of .378... tallied ten stolen bases on the year... hit the program's first regular season home run against Arkansas on February 9... went 3-for-3 against both Sam Houston State and Loyola-Chicago with three and two RBI respectively, in those games... went 2-for-3 in C-USA games against Louisville and UAB... Conference USA All-Freshman team selection... First Team All-Conference selection as the designated player.

High School: Two-time first team All-District 7-5A selection in softball at Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas... selected District MVP in her senior season... received first team All-Area honors as a sophomore in 1998... coached by Debra Rhoades... solid student who scored 1240 on the SAT and became a Hispanic National Merit Scholar finalist... named Who's Who Among High School Students... also a member of the National Honor Society... also recruited by Texas Women's University and Colorado State.

Personal: Born December 1, 1981, in Santurce, Puerto Rico... parents are Luis Gonzalez and Magdoly Ferreris... nickname is "Ray Ray"... chose UH because "it was a great opportunity to become a part something special."
