This Season: Solid starter for the Cougars... experience should pay off this season... there's never a time where she doesn't give 100 percent... If she picks up where she left off last year you can expect big things.

2003: Finished with a 12-7 record... team best .632 winning percentage in 127 innings... second on the team with 12 wins... led Cougars with 129 strike outs, 38 looking... made 33 appearances, 19 starts, 14 in relief...pitched seven innings giving up five hits and stiking out 10 against Southwest Texas... pitched seven shutout innings giving up one hit and striking out 11 against Texas Arlington... hit a two-run home run in her only plate appearance of the season against Texas Southern.

2002: Tallied 169.2 innings of work in a team-leading 33 appearances (27 starts)... placed in the top ten in eight Conference USA pitching categories... pitched 53.2 innings in C-USA games... registered a 2-0 shut-out win striking out 5 in first appearance versus Oregon... posted a team-high and career-best 13 strikeouts in a 2-1 win over McNeese State... picked up C-USA wins against Charlotte and Saint Louis... ended the season with a 15-10 record, an ERA of 2.68 and a team-high 175 strikeouts.

2001: Made 26 appearances as a freshman pitcher for the Cougars... posted the second-best pitching record by only one win at 9-14... boasted an ERA of 3.75... pitched 158.1 innings, the most of any Cougar... had 98 strikeouts for the season... registered her first career win over Iowa State 5-2 on February 24... compiled six wins against Conference USA teams Southern Miss, UAB, Saint Louis and Charlotte.

High School: Two-time All-State selection at Grissom High School in Huntsville Alabama... named state MVP and Player of the Year her senior season... three-time Pitcher of the Year selection... helped lead her team to the state finals two years in a row, including the 2000 state title... two-time member of the All-State tournament team in 1999 and `00... holds the Alabama state record for single season wins (41), Ks (547), ERA (.30) and no-hitters (3)... coached in softball by Paul Parvin... also a four-year varsity letterwinner in volleyball... played middle-hitter on the 1998 state championship team... named the team's best defensive player in 1997... member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta...

Personal: Full name is Doris Jeanette Johnson, but prefers to go by "Jenny"... born July 13, 1982, in Lynchburg, Virginia... parents are Steve and Doris Johnson... father, Steve, played football for Mississippi College... sister Brooke joining her on this year's Cougar squad... majoring in biology.
