    Redshirt-Freshman (2003): appeared in five games for the Cougars with one hit and one RBI coming against Alabama A&M ... made her first start as a Cogar against Texas Southern University, April 23, 2003

    Freshman (2002): Redshirted ... walk-on ... named to Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll earning a 3.0 GPA or better

    A four-sport athlete at Diboll High School, she lettered all four years in softball, volleyball and track, and was a three-year lettermen in basketball ... earned All-District honors as a catcher all four years ... was a team captain, the team leader in doubles and homeruns en route to being named Offensive Player of the Year and most Valuable Player ... earned multiple awards at each sport

    Born on January 17, 1983, in Beaumont, Texas ... parents are Finis and Sharon Vanover ... was a member of the National Honor Society ... was president of the Student Council and named Homecoming Queen her senior year ... favorite hobbies include taking pictures and watching football ... also recruited by Hill College and Sam Houston State
