Toryn Wisdom enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach, providing help to the coaching staff. She assisted with the winter softball camp and will help assistant coach Kim Nesloney with the outfielders.
"We are happy to have Toryn helping this year. She will assist us in the day to day preparations of the team," Holas said.
Wisdom played softball at Sam Houston State before transferring to North Texas, where she graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in recreation and leisure studies, specializing in therapeutic recreation.
Wisdom attended high school in Texas City, four-time district champions in softball, where she played outfield. As a junior, her team went to the State Tournament. That same year, she received All-City/All-Area honors.
Before coming to Houston, Wisdom worked at the St. Luke's Tower in the Medical Center for private doctors. She currently works part-time as a sleep apnea coordinator for a prominent pulmonary/sleep apnea practice in the medical center.
