HOUSTON – In preparation for the alumni weekend on Feb. 5-6 and in honor of the program’s 10-year anniversary, the University of Houston softball coaching staff invites fans to select the All-Decade Team.
"It is amazing to think back over the past 10 years and see how far we have come,” head coach Kyla Holas said. “I am so thankful to all the past players who took a chance and became a Cougar so that we have this kind of tradition and pride associated with our program. I am excited to see everyone again and look forward to the event next weekend.
"I think the All-Decade Team will be a great chance for the alumni, fans, friends and family to vote on their favorite players for the past ten years."
A list of nominees and a ballot for voting can be found on the softball main page at UHCougars.com. Fans have until noon on Friday, Feb. 5 to cast their vote. Once the votes are tallied, Holas will announce the honorees at the alumni banquet dinner at 7 p.m. on Friday. The alumni weekend continues on Saturday with a softball game at noon followed by a barbecue.
