HOUSTON - Single game tickets for the 2009 baseball and softball season are on sale now.

Tickets for individual games can be purchased 24 hours a day at www.UHCougars.com, during normal business hours by calling 713-GO-COOGS or in person at the Houston Athletics Ticket Office located inside the Athletics/Alumni Center.

Season tickets for both baseball and softball are also still available.

The Cougar baseball team will have 28 contests at Cougar Field during the 2009 season. Great seats still remain and baseball season tickets start at $135, over 35% off the single-game cost.

The baseball team opens the 2009 season against Kansas State at Cougar Field in the non-conference weekend series on Feb. 20-22. The series begins at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 20, continues at 4 p.m. on Feb. 21 and will wrap up at noon on Feb. 22.

The Cougar softball team will host 18 home dates in 2009 and season tickets are only $50 for a savings of over 40% off the single-game price.

The softball team kicked off their season last weekend at the Cathedral City Kickoff, finishing with a 3-1 record. They will host the Marriott Houston Classic this weekend and are scheduled to take the field in their first game at 5 p.m. against Oklahoma State on Feb. 13.
