    ON HOUSTON
After opening the season hosting back-to-back tournaments, the Cougars (7-4) enjoyed a bit of rest last weekend with no games scheduled. A busy week is on tap for Houston with six games in three different cities and stadiums on the slate.

Senior Holly Anderson has held the leadoff batting position for most of the year and has swung the bat at a team-leading .429 clip. Junior catcher Haley Outon has found her power stroke with three long balls in 26 at bats with 11 RBI and seven walks so far.

Bailey Watts and Summer Groholski both sport 3-1 records with Julana Shrum posting a 1-0 record with no earned runs allowed through 11 innings of work in her freshman campaign.

    SERIES HISTORY
Houston holds the series edge on UTSA with a 9-5 record including four straight wins. Junior Haley Outon started her NCAA-tying home run streak (Six consecutive games with a home run) last year against the Road Runners in San Antonio.

The Cougars are 2-0 with an 11-0 run differential against their crosstown-competitors HBU in the all-times series.
