Walk-Off Win Advances Cougars

HOUSTON (March 2) - The University of Houston's first-round softball game at the LSU Purple and Gold Classic has been postponed until 6 p.m. due to inclement weather. The game versus Southern Miss, which was originally scheduled for first pitch at noon, was pushed back to 12:30 p.m. before the recent postponement. The Cougars trailed the Golden Eagles, 2-1, in the bottom of the third inning when play was suspended while Houston was at bat.

The Cougars' regularly-scheduled game with the host Tigers also has been pushed back, with the game to be played at 8 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. Tulsa and McNeese State also are a part of the LSU Tournament.
