March 22, 2013

HOUSTON - Tickets for the Houston-Alabama softball game at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, have been sold out, the University of Houston announced Friday. Additional seating has been added to Cougar Softball Stadium to accommodate the capacity crowd that will be in attendance.

The game serves as Student Appreciation Day and 200 tickets are reserved for the student body. The first 100 students at the game will receive free Houston Cougar sunglasses holders with the gates opening at 5 p.m. This game will also offer a rare `Cougar Card' being given out to students.

Houston-area rap legend and former UH student, Paul Wall, will throw out the first pitch and there will be $1 hotdogs while supplies last. The UH Fan Shop will also be on hand for any merchandise purchases. Following the game, there will be an autograph session for fans on the field. A Kids Zone with inflatable will also be on hand for the fans.

For any fans wishing to purchase tickets to any of the remaining 12 home games, season tickets are still available for $75. Houston softball season ticket packages allow fans to use all 29 tickets to a single game or spread them out over the remaining schedule. For more information on season tickets, go to UHCougars.com or call the UH Ticket Office at (713) GO-COOGS.
