HOUSTON - The University of Houston softball team (37-15, 18-3 C-USA) concludes its regular season slate this weekend against Marshall (30-22, 10-11 C-USA) in a Conference USA series. The program will honor its senior class in between games one and two Saturday.

The Cougars have won 30 of their last 39 games with five of the nine setbacks during the streak coming against Top 25 opponents. In fact, 11 of Houston's 15 losses this season have come to teams that are ranked. Five of those 11 losses have come by a single run.

Marshall comes into this weekend needing one win to secure a spot in next week's Conference USA Championship. The Thundering Herd have won eight straight games and are led by C-USA Preseason Player of the Year Rachel Folden.

"Senior weekend is always special," head coach Kyla Holas said. "With that being said, we have to focus on the things that we can control on the field. Marshall is going to be ready to play, and we have to rise to the challenge."
