Kyla Holas To Throw BP At Celebrity Softball Game

HOUSTON - Houston Softball Head Coach Kyla Holas has been asked to be a part of the Rocketman Celebrity Slam softball game at Minute Maid Park Tuesday, July 15, hosted by seven-time Cy Young Award winner and former Astros pitching legend Roger Clemens.

Holas will pitch during batting practice and will serve as a guest coach for one of the teams.

"I am excited about this opportunity and happy that Houston Softball will be represented. I hope those hours of BP pay off, and everyone has a great experience," Holas said.

The all-star celebrity lineup for the softball game includes Astros greats Jeff Bagwell and Roy Oswalt, Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley, Houston Texans punter Shane Lechler, Olympian and professional softball player Cat Osterman as well as many other former and current athletes from across the sports world. Local Houston rapper Paul Wall, country music artist Toby Keith, actor Lee Majors anda several other celebrities from the music and entertainment industry will also participate in the Rocketman Celebrity Slam.

5:00 p.m. - Gates open for fans, military and sponsors
5:45 p.m. - Batting Practice
7:00 p.m. - Celebrity Softball game begins
8:45 p.m. - Concert

The game is scheduled to last seven innings, ending at approximately 8:30 p.m. There will also be live musical entertainment between innings and after the game.

The 2014 MLB All-Star Game will also be live-streaming on `El Grande', the HD big screen, so fans can watch both games simultaneously.

Proceeds of the charitable event will benefit the Roger Clemens Foundation, other children's charities and the military.

Single-game group ticket sales for the inaugural season in TDECU Stadium are now on sale via the Houston Athletics Ticket Office.
