    HOUSTON -

    University of Houston head coach Kyla Holas announced softball's fall tournament schedule on Thursday. The Cougars will travel to Sugarland, Texas, Sept. 26-27, for their first College Classic of the season and will then compete in the Spring Klein Girls Softball League College Classic in Spring, Texas on Oct. 3-4.

    UH commences its fall calendar on Saturday, Sept. 26 against San Jacinto College and Texas State. Houston participated in the 2008 Sugarland Round Robin where they won three of their four games, including a 4-2 victory over Texas State.

    The Cougars will wrap up the two-day tournament as they square off against Blinn College at 10 a.m. and Galveston College at 12 p.m. on Sept. 27.

    Houston will also face Galveston College in its SKGSL College Classic opener on Oct. 3 at 2 p.m., followed by a 4 p.m. game against Texas. The Cougars conclude their fall season on Oct. 4 as they play Baylor at 1 p.m. and Stephen F. Austin at 3 p.m.

    The Cougars will make their first SKGSL College Classic appearance since 2007 when they posted wins over Texas (11-2) Louisiana-Lafayette (3-1) and UTSA (6-0).
