HOUSTON - University of Houston softball head coach Kyla Holas announced Tuesday morning that the recently added game against McLennan Community College was cancelled due to the opposing head coach's illness.

The game was set for Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. at Cougar Softball Stadium.

The coaching staff decided to extend the fall schedule after the second day of the Spring Klein Girls Softball League College Classic was cancelled due to inclement weather. Houston fell short on Oct. 3, losing to Galveston College (3-0) and Texas (1-0).

The Cougars began their fall season undefeated as they registered wins over San Jacinto College (6-0), Texas State (2-1), Blinn College (7-0) and Galveston College (16-2) at the Sugar Land College Classic, Sept. 26-27.

UH begins the regular season Feb. 12-14 in the Marriott Houston Hobby Classic at Cougar Softball Stadium.
