The University of Houston swimming and diving team closed out season with a runner-up finish at the Conference USA Championships Saturday night at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center Natatorium. Julia Lonnegren won the platform for her second individual event title at the competition earning Diver of the Meet honors for the second straight year.

The University of Houston swimming and diving team closed out Day 2 of the Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships in first place Thursday evening at the UH Campus Recreation & Wellness Center Natatorium. Houston swept the top-three spots in the 3-meter diving even and broke two more school records to lead a strong overall showing in the races and overtake crosstown-rivals Rice for first place.

The University of Houston 200 medley and 800 free relay team both set school records en route to a third-place finishes in the opening night of the Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted at the UH Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium. Houston sits in second place with 64 points trailing Rice by 10 after the first two events.

The University of Houston will serve as host for the 2013 Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships (Feb. 20-23) at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center Natatorium. Houston will compete against East Carolina, Marshall, Rice, SMU and Tulane as their 10th and final year as the host for the championship event.
