Posted a season-best 1000-yard split of 10:11.77 in the 1650 Free against Rice, Tulane and LSU.


Competed in three events at American Athletic Conference Championships...Placed in the top-10 in all three events capturing 29 points for the Cougars...Finished sixth overall in the overall in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:41.69...Finished ninth overall in the 500-yard Freestyle (4:51.92) and 10th in the 400-yard IM (16:41.39)...Won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:26.01) at the Incarnate Word dual meet on Jan. 11...Notched five top-five finishes during dual meet season.

FRESHMAN 2015-16

Named to All-American Athletic Conference Team...American Athletic Conference Champion in 500-yard freestyle setting a program record, 4:49.08...Became first Houston swimming champion since 2003...Placed third overall in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:32.45, a program record...Netted second most points for a swimmer at the conference championships with 43...Earned her first colleigate win in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:57.44, a program record at Houston Quad meet on Jan. 29...Notched 16 top-five finishes during her freshman season.


Lettered at Desert Mountain High School under coaches Tere Zacher and Evan Rauheuser... Qualified for the state meet in each season of her career... Set multiple state records in a variety of meets... Finished second in the nation in the 1-mile swim as an 11-year-old.... Was a standout performer for  Swim Neptune, where her coach was Debbie Meek.


Daughter of Bill and Gini Herbst... Has two younger brothers: Connor, who is also a swimmer and Garrin... Plans to major in kinesiology at Houston... Wants to continue her passion for swimming after graduation... Enjoys coaching younger swimmers in her free time.
