Named to the All-American Conference Team in the 1-meter dive... Qualified for the NCAA Zone Diving meet and finished 16th in the 3-meter dive (614.25) and 17th in the 1-meter dive (540.40)... Competed in three events at the American Conference Championship... Finished third in the 1-meter (284.20), fourth in the 3-meter (304.14) and fifth in the platform (177.60)... Had one podium finish at the Dual Meet against Rice University.
Was crowned the inaugural American Athletic Conference Champion in the 1-meter diving (289.25) and finished second in the 3-meter (311.70) ... Named the 2013-14 American Athletic Conference Most Outstanding Diver after her performance at the championship meet ... Also took first and second team all-conference accolades in the 1M and 3M ... Captured first conference crown of her career in the 1-meter during the C-USA Championships with a score of 304.35 ... Began her career as a gymnast before falling in love with the sport of diving six years ago and becoming one of her country's leading young divers...Since 2008, Burgess has twice qualified for Australia's Open Nationals, Elite Junior Nationals and New South Wales (NSW) Elite Junior Championships...Took top honors at the NSW Elite Junior Championships in the 3-meter and collected a third-place finish in the 1-meter competition...At the Diving South Australia (DSA) Elite Junior Championships, Burgess earned first place in the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Burgess attended high school at Annesley College, while diving for Diving South Australia Club team coach Jeff Arbon.
