Final Stats

HOUSTON - Houston swam season-best times in the 200 medley and 800 free relays to rest in third place after Day 1 of the Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Cougars opened the meet with a fourth place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:44.24) swam by Marissa Blumenthal, Beccy Hillis, Heather Coutts and Krystan Morrell.

Houston swam an NCAA `B' qualifying time in the 800 free relay with Eeson, Moira Fraser Heather Winn and Kimmy Ballo finishing 0.06 seconds away from breaking the school record set in 2009.

SMU won both relays to take the early lead at the championship event.

UP NEXT
Houston returns to the pool tomorrow with the preliminaries at 10 a.m. and the finals starting at 6 p.m.
