    Final Stats

    HOUSTON– All three Cougar divers finished in the top 11 of the 1M diving event on the second day of competition at the Phill Hansel Invite.

    Led by senior Julia Lonnegren’s fourth-place showing (283.65), sophomore Natasha Burgess took ninth (244.70) and freshman Danielle Shedd placed 11th (242.25) to lead the Cougars in scoring on the second day of the invite.

    Houston remains in fifth place at 181 points.

    Senior Reka Kovacs placed seventh in the 400 IM, shaving off over 10 seconds of her fastest time this year.

    The Cougars 200 medley relay also turned in a season-best time (1:43.11) as they placed eighth. Marissa Blumenthal, fresh off a personal-best in the 100 back (56.80), started the relay in the pool for Houston and turned to Holli Pisarski, Michelle Detka and Maggie McCord to finish the race.

    UP NEXT
    Houston concludes hosting the Phill Hansel Invite tomorrow with prelims and finals scheduled for 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Houston’s five senior student-athletes (Kimmy Ballo, Moira Fraser, Julia Lonnegren, Reka Kovacs and Holli Pisarski) will be honored for Senior Day in a short ceremony set to take place before the evening finals.
