COLLEGE STATION, Texas - University of Houston senior captain Rachel Gitelson scored 235.10 points to finish third on the platform Sunday in the Student Recreation Center Natatorium during the final day of the Art Adamson Invitational.

Gitelson, who earned All-America honors on the platform as a sophomore in 2005, was the only Cougar to perform in all three events at the Art Adamson Invitational. Earlier at the meet, the Glendale, Ariz., native finished ninth on the 3-meter springboard and seventh on the 1-meter board.

The Cougars will take some time off before returning to the competitive waters on Nov. 30-Dec. 2. At that time, the divers will compete at the Texas Invitational in Austin, while their swimming counterparts will take part at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational in Oxford, Ohio.
