Houston Divers Sweep the 1M at Hawai'i Diving Invite

    HOUSTON - During the annual training trip to Hawaii last week, the University of Houston divers took part in the Hawai'i Diving Invite.

    The Cougars swept the top-three spots among NCAA student-athletes in the 1M with freshman Danielle Shedd taking the top spot with a season-best score of 278.15. Veterans Julia Lonnegren (270.20) and Natasha Burgess (264.55) placed second and third, respectively.

    In the 3M event, the senior Lonnegren led the way for Houston with her sixth-place finish (274.25).

    Houston heads to the University of North Texas on for a meet against UNT and SMU on Jan. 16.
