HOUSTON - The University of Houston swimming and diving team will travel to LSU for a quad meet against the host Tigers, Rice and Tulane this weekend. The meet begins with the diving at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and followed by swimming at 5 p.m. Saturday's competition begins at 11 a.m.

Diver Julia Lonnegren is fresh off being named Conference USA Diver of the Week (Jan. 21), for the second time this season. Last week at North Texas, the senior led the Cougars in a triangle meet by capturing first in the 1M and 3M events. Houston finished second to both SMU and UNT in the meet.

The Cougars are continuing to fine tune their training and practice sessions as the season builds up to the C-USA Championships. This will be the second-to-last regular season meet before hosting the conference championships Feb. 20-23.

Three of the teams have already competed against one another in the same meet earlier in the year as Houston hosted the Phill Hansel Invite (Nov/ 15-17) with LSU finishing in fourth, UH in fifth and Tulane in 11th place.

No live results will be available for the meet.
