For the fourth consecutive week, University of Houston senior diver Julia Lonnegren has been named the Conference USA Diver of the Week.
Lonnegren posted a pair of runner-up finishes at No. 9 Texas A&M - scoring 280.5 in the 1M and 298.28 in the 3M. Both scores exceeded the NCAA Zone Diving standards, which UH hosts from March 11-13.
Since the award began in 2001, Cougar divers have earned the Diver of the Week honors 77 out of a possible 132 times. Of the seven honors awarded this season, five have gone to Houston student-athletes (Lonnegren, 4; Natasha Burgess, 1).
Lonnegren joins fellow Cougar Yulia Pakhalina (2002-03) as the only C-USA divers to win the award four consecutive weeks.
This is the 11th overall Diver of the Week award for Lonnegren.
